There are photographs you plan out, work on, revisit, and refine; then there are ones you just fall into. This is the latter. It’s funny because I have walked by these two trees countless times hiking in the hills above my house, but this particular instance I was stuck by the contrast between the two live oaks and how they related to each other.
This photo has been quite a conundrum for me, I think I have rewritten this post three different times. But rather than explain my creative tensions I thought I would let this photograph breathe on it’s own, and revisit the thinking behind this piece later.
